Meet the North Cobb Animal Hospital Doctors

David Murphy, DVM — Medical Director

Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine

A native of the Boston area, Dr. Murphy is passionate about providing the highest level of veterinary care to his patients. After receiving his undergraduate degree in botany from Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut, Dr. Murphy chose to pursue his dream of practicing veterinary medicine and received his DVM from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Dr. Murphy particularly enjoys the fields of internal medicine and dermatology. While the Boston area will always hold a special place in Dr. Murphy’s heart, in 2009 he and his wife, son and daughter made the move to warmer winters in Marietta in 2009 and they absolutely love it. Dr. Murphy and his family share their home with three dogs, and two pythons. When not caring for animals, Dr. Murphy enjoys spending his free time growing vegetables in his garden, woodworking and cultivating bonsai trees.

Jenna King, DVM — Associate Veterinarian

University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine

Originally from Dacula, Georgia, Dr. King is a native to the Atlanta areas and strives to ensure she provides the highest standard of care to her patients. Dr. King attended Berry Collge in Rome, Georgia for her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences with a minor in Chemistry, where she also played for the women’s soccer team. After graduating with honors, she was thrilled to be accepted to the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine, her dream since she was a little girl. Dr. King lives in Smyrna and loves spending time with her husband and young daughter outdoors, traveling, and attending sporting events. She also loves any activity in which she can involve her Australian Cattle Dog, Moose.

Lindsey Navarra, DVM

Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Navarra was born in Florida, but grew up in Marietta with her three siblings, including an identical sister. She has always loved animals and at the age of six, knew she wanted to be a Veterinarian. Before attending Vet school she spent 2 years managing an alpaca farm in Maryland, where she cared for over 25 alpacas. She is a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she spent almost 3 year living on the beautiful island of St. Kitts. After finishing her Clinical year at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine she eventually moved back home to Georgia. Dr. Navarra lives in Austell with her husband, 3 dogs, and 2 cats. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, fishing, kayaking, can crafting She strives t ensure the highest quality of patient care and client communication.
